The Commissioner of Police Abia State Command, Kenechukwu Onwuemelie has expressed strong disapproval of extortion of any sort from officers and men of the command.
Speaking in a meeting with the Management Team, Area Commanders, DPOs, and Tactical Team Commanders CP Kenechukwu Onwuemelie made it clear that extortion cannot be tolerated by the command and pledged decisive actions against violators
The police commissioner stressed the importance of professionalism among officers and enjoined them to shun acts capable of tarnishing the image of the command.
He used the forum to discuss the strategic initiatives in place to ensure peace and tranquillity in Abia State, advocating for public awareness of the Complaint Response Unit and the implementation of a database system to enhance Command decision-making and combating Crimes in the state.
