Hon. Peter Chigozie Azubuike hails from Umuogele, Mbano Ntighauzo Autonomous Community, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria. He is fondly known as “The Rock”.
He is a renowned industrialist with over a decade of professional experience in Nigeria’s Oil and Gas Industry, where he has distinguished himself through competence, leadership, and commitment to national development.
Hon. Azubuike holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry and is the Chief Executive Officer of Petbridge Nigeria Limited, a company with notable contributions to the energy and services sectors.
A passionate humanitarian and youth advocate, Hon. Azubuike has sponsored the professional training of over twenty (20) youths in the Oil and Gas Industry within Nigeria and internationally. Through his foundation, he has empowered numerous youths and widows with skills in small and medium-scale enterprises, promoting self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods.
His commitment to cultural and community development is reflected in his sponsorship of the first-ever Agalaba Cultural Carnival and the third edition of the Agalaba People’s Forum Football Tournament. A strong believer in education, he has supported the training and education of over fifty (50) pupils and students across primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions.
Hon. Peter Chigozie Azubuike is an investor in human capital and infrastructural development. He serves as one of the Patrons of the Abia State Community Policing/Vigilante Group (ASCP), where he has provided mobility support, including vehicles and motorcycles, to enhance community security operations.
Politically, he is a respected stakeholder and chieftain of the Labour Party (LP) in Abia State and beyond. In his political journey, he has contested for the Office of Executive Chairman of Obingwa Local Government Area and the Federal House of Representatives seat for Obingwa/Osisioma Ngwa/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC). He later contested for the Abia State House of Assembly, Obingwa East (Agalaba) State Constituency under the Labour Party.
He currently serves as the Chairman, Labour Party Stakeholders, Obingwa LGA, and the Chairman, Abia-Arise Stakeholders, Obingwa LGA, where he continues to provide leadership, mentorship, and grassroots development initiatives.
Hon. Peter Chigozie Azubuike is the visionary founder of the Peter Azubuike Humanitarian Foundation (PAHUF) and the Obingwa Youths’ Summit (OYS), platforms established to nurture young talents, ideas, innovation, and leadership capacities for societal advancement.
He is happily married and blessed with children.
