It was a radiant day of celebration, hope, and fulfillment in Isiala Ngwa Federal Constituency as the Wife of the Governor of Abia State,Mrs. Priscilla Chidinma Otti, led the commissioning of multiple legacy projects to mark the second anniversary of Hon. Sir Ginger Onwusibe in the 10th National Assembly.
With cheers echoing through the air and hearts brimming with gratitude, political leaders, traditional rulers, and grassroots stakeholders gathered to witness a landmark event that underscored the renewed spirit of inclusive, people-focused governance in Abia State.
Addressing the joyful crowd, Mrs. Otti praised the scope and quality of the projects, affirming that they reflect the shared vision of her husband, Governor Alex C. Otti, to transform rural communities and change lives through practical, visible development.
“Today is not just a celebration of two years in office — it’s a celebration of promises fulfilled,” Mrs. Otti said. “We are seeing real investments in education, health, and digital empowerment , the kind of legacy projects that uplift communities and empower future generations.”
The First Lady lauded Hon. Ginger Onwusibe’s dedication to the grassroots, calling on other leaders to replicate such commitment and align with Governor Otti’s New Abia agenda.
In his welcome remarks, Hon. Onwusibe expressed heartfelt appreciation for Her Excellency’s presence and encouragement, calling her “a mother of the people and a silent engine behind Abia’s transformation.”
“We are honoured to have you here, Your Excellency,” he said. “The projects being commissioned today are not for show; they are proof that development can be real, tangible, and immediate.
We are partners in progress with Governor Alex Otti, and we will continue to serve our people with humility and purpose.”
The projects commissioned include:
- Five newly constructed classroom blocks at Amuzu Okpuala Ngwa, Okporoahaba Secondary School Umuajuju, Umuojima, Agah, and Ama Abuo Central School Ovungwo.
- Two fully equipped primary healthcare centres at Amairi Ovoji and Chimaobi Nwakanma.
- Modern Townhall and ICT Centres at Ubaha and Umunko, designed to foster civic engagement and digital learning.
Joining the celebration were prominent dignitaries including H.E. Mrs. Adaeze Emetu, Wife of the Deputy Governor; Senator Darlington Nwokocha; Hon. Dennis Chinwendu, member of the Abia State House of Assembly; Commissioner for Arts, Culture & Creative Economy, Hon. Matthew Ekwuribe; and the Executive Mayors of Isiala Ngwa North and South, Amb. Innocent Uruakpa and Hon. Nnadozie Nwaogwugwu.
