Abia State Civil And Public Servants Urged To Embrace Transformation Agenda…HOS
The Head of Service, Mr. Benson Ojeikere, has charged civil and public servants to adopt a positive mindset and commit to changing the narrative of the service. He emphasized the importance of their role in redeeming the image of the service and restoring its dignity.
Addressing Permanent Secretaries and senior management staff, Mr. Ojeikere stressed that the Dr. Alex Otti-led government’s zero-tolerance policy for corruption is non-negotiable. He urged them to eliminate all forms of fraud in the discharge of their duties.
The Head of Service assured the workforce that their welfare is a top priority, including providing regular training and retraining to equip them to deal with challenges. He also stressed the need for collaboration with stakeholders to achieve the desired goals.
The transformation agenda, Mr. Ojeikere noted, aims to reposition the service to deliver on its mandate and make it a model for other states and countries to follow. He enjoined the staff to be pacesetters in the transformation agenda.
