Abia Council Of Ndi Eze Disbands Parallel Associations, Abolishes Titles By Persons In Diaspora

Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers has disbanded all traditional rulers’ associations operating in parallel with various State Traditional Rulers Councils in the South East

This decision is contained in a communique released by the 9th assembly of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers after its meeting held at the JAAC House, Umuahia.

The communique jointly signed by the Chairman of the Council, Eze Linus Nto Mbah and other principal officers including 1st Deputy Chairman, Eze Nelson Nmerengwa, 2nd Deputy Chairman, Eze Franklin Nwosu and 3rd Deputy Chairman, Eze Uwakwe Ukaegbu particularly disbanded the South East Progressive Traditional Rulers Forum or Ndi Igbo Progressive Traditional Rulers Forum headed by EZE EVEREST NNAMDI OFOEGBU.

The communique which made it clear that the resolutions are binding on all recognized Traditional Rulers of Abia State abolished certain titles such as Eze Ndi Igbo, HRH or HRM by persons in diaspora and made it mandatory for all Traditional Rulers to be vigilant and report any influx of native doctors from neighboring.

“Henceforth, the use of the Titles of Eze Ndi Igbo, HRH or HRM by persons in diaspora who are not given staff of off ice by the Governor over an -Autonomous community is hereby abolished, regardless of location. All traditional rulers are to be vigilant and report any influx of native doctors (Ndi Dibia) from neighboring States immediately,” the communique stated.

The Traditional Rulers in the communique commended the Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti for his transformative agenda and excellent welfare package for Ndieze Abia.

They pledged their unwavering support to ensuring that nothing would hinder the Governor ‘s developmental efforts in the state, adding that they are committed to working in synergy with his government to achieve the desired progress for Ndi abia.
