The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu FNSE, has called for total loyalty from the people of Ohafia Local Government to the Dr Alex Otti led administration and Labour party while giving charge to the newly inaugurated labour party executives and newly absolved decamped PDP members.
He made this call in a large stakeholder meeting of labour party called at his behest in his hometown, Amaekpu Ohafia. Engr. Emetu pointed out that labour party is through with legal battles and conflict, and has found a progressive part to look forward to the 2027 election.
His Excellency revealed that the party has immediate plan in all the LGAs to take proper stewardship of stakeholders, organise congresses from ward to LGA, from zonal to state level and also have a proper national convention .
He noted that the fast developmental strides of his principal, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, who has been adjudged at the national level as one of the best performing Governor speaks for itself, and therefore applauded the decamped members for aligning with progress and developing which labour party represent.
Chief Emetu tasked the newly elected executives to coordinate and mobilise the people of Ohafia to align with labour party and ensure that Dr Alex Otti is returned in 2027 in other to continue with his developmental plans for Abia State in which he noted also extends to all the LGAs in Abia State.
Also speaking, the Chairman of labour party, Abia State Chapter, Sir Mazi Emmanuel Otti, while addressing the newly inaugurated Ohafia LGA labour party executives and welcoming decamped PDP members respectively, charged them to leave sychofancy and work towards making sure Ohafia LGA is delivered to the govt of Dr Alex Otti come 2027.
He noted that the developmental activities of Dr Alex Otti speaks for itself and therefore encouraged all stakeholders to put their hands on deck to make sure that Dr Alex Otti is returned as Governor in 2027.
Also contributing in the meeting, a major stakeholder in Labour Party Ohafia LGA and a former mayor of Ohafia LGA, Chief Dr David Ogba, described the outstanding performance of Dr Alex Otti Government as a key to labour party winning the election in 2027.
He expressed his happiness in the resolved labour party case and noted that the essence of the stakeholders meeting is to regroup, restrategise and ensure full support for his Excellency.
The meeting which was well attended by notable individuals like the Ohafia South House of Assembly Member , Hon Kalu Nwoke, Abia Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Prof Ume Uche, Commissioner for Science and Technology, Dr. David Kalu and others featured inauguration of Ohafia Labour Party New Executives and welcoming of some decamped PDP stakeholders and other new members.
Some of the PDP stakeholders In Ohafia LGA who decamped include, Oguelu Eke Anya (Ogutex), Former PDP director of Public Affairs, Madam Ngozi Obuba, Ohafia PDP Women Leader, Ukoha Anya Ojo (School Boy),. Former PDP House of Assembly aspirant, Mr. Kalu Paul, Former Special Assistant on Grassroot Mobilization to past Governor.l
