NSCDC Collaborates With SANAB
...restate it's commitment to fighting all forms of human rights abuse
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC),Àbia State has restated it’s commitment to fighting all forms of human rights abuses.
The Abia State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Usman Ishaq Alfadarai fdc, MFR,made this statement while receiving some advocates from SANAB Development Foundation, to the State Command’s Headquarters in Umuahia.
The visit which was focused on familiarizing and exploring ways to collaborate and tackle the issues of Gender Based Violence and human rights abuse, emphasized the critical role the Corps plays in promoting human rights.
The Commandant in his words said,” the partnership is a welcome development as the Corps prides itself as a foremost security organization with gender inclusiveness and sensitivity”.
He expressed appreciation for the visit and emphasized the importance of such organizations coming together to eradicate all forms of inhumane treatments and practices in the state.
Earlier in her speech,a member of SANAB Development foundation,Ambassador Delphine Chioma, while addressing the State Commandant, emphasized on the critical role of the corps in promoting human rights.
She noted the necessity of including the Corps in this course to ensure that Gender Based Violence and human rights abuse is reduced to the barest minimum or outrightly stopped.
Ambassador Chioma thanked the Commandant for receiving them and prayed that NSCDC would continue to partner with them in fighting human right abuses.
