In a notable development in the state’s political landscape ,Hon. Nnamdi Igbokwe from Bende North on Tuesday 29th April, defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the Labour Party( LP) citing good governance as his reason.
He encouraged the State Government to keep progressing and invited others to join the Labour Party’s to move forward.
The Deputy Speaker, Hon Austin Okezie welcomed him warmly, stating that it as a positive gain for the party.
The House also confirmed the Abia State Regulatory Electricity Agency. Which was screened at the Executive Sections.
The House adjourned Plenary to reconevene on Tuesday 5th May 2025.
