The attention of the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, and the Federal Ministry of Police Affairs has been drawn to a misleading and inaccurate disclaimer issued by the Police Service Commission (PSC) on 31st July 2025 regarding the ongoing admission exercise.
This was contained in a release signed by the Deputy Director (Information and Public Relations Unit) ,Bolaji Oladimeji Kazeem
and made available to journalists.
We wish to categorically state the following:
- The application for admission into the
- 12th Regular Course Degree Programmes of the Nigeria Police Academy remains valid and ongoing.
- The admission process is being conducted in full compliance with established procedures, in line with the guidelines of the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Federal Ministry of Police Affairs.
- The Police Service Commission (PSC) has no constitutional mandate or legal role in university admission matters, including those of the Nigeria Police Academy. Therefore, its recent disclaimer is legally unfounded, misleading, and should be disregarded.
The online application portal remains open, and all interested applicants and stakeholders are advised to proceed with their applications as previously advertised.
We urge the public to rely solely on official communication from POLAC and the Federal Ministry of Police Affairs regarding admission processes and other academy matters.
