Governor Otti Flags Off Diaspora Garden City Estate

...Focuses On Enhancing Housing And Urban Planning In Abia State

The Governor of Abia State Dr Alex Chioma Otti ,Who was ably represented by His Deputy Engr Ikechukwu Emetu has declared that his administration is focused on enhancing housing ,infrastructure and urban planning in Abia State ,hence the recognition of the importance of the private sector as a key partner in making it a reality.

Otti disclosed this in his address on the occasion of the flagging-off of the Diaspora Garden City,osisioma, at Amato Ukwu Community.

In his words”it is with great joy that I stand before you today to flag off a ground breaking initiative ;the Diaspora Garden City Project in Osisioma”.

“This is a project that promises to transform the landscape of osisioma and redefine the standard of living for our people”.

He noted that Aba known for its industrial nature and vibrant economy ,faces challenges such as overpopulation,inadequate housing and that the establishment of the modern residential community in osisioma aims to alleviate congestion in Aba ,redistribute population density and offer families a peaceful secure and sustainable living environment.

Gov otti thanked everyone who has made the project possible and prayed that the project will serve as a catalyst for future investments and partnership that will continue to benefit the state.

Earlier in his welcome address,Amato ukwu town union president,Mr Uchenna Onyeniro while welcoming his excellency heartily noted that this is the first time a sitting Executive Governor in history visited for a project.
He said”it is on record and our generation will hear it ,we will no longer be blamed for voting you into power ,we will also and proudly vote again.

He pointed out that diaspora estate at full completion ,will not only extend Aba town to Amato ukwu community rather it will include them in the state’s development agenda both economically and socially.

Also in their remarks
the Managing Director, Christian prime Ltd , Dr Ayobanna Ikeanumba and Deacon Michael Aniorji, described the ground breaking ceremony as a fulfillment to the promise made to Gov. Otti to assist his government bring estate development to Abia State.

The developer who also thanked the people of the Amato community for giving their support, insisted that they are desirous for development of state and would ensure that the
housing estate materialized and that the community and the states gets what is due to them.


Correspondent reports that the flag off was followed by ground breaking which was done by his Excellency Deputy Governor,Ikechukwu Emetu in the company of the Mayor of Osisioma LGA and other notable individuals.
