Abia State Governor Alex Otti has received praise from religious leaders for his administration’s transformative leadership. During a three-day ecclesiastical visit to Abia State, the President-General of the Charismatic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, Archbishop Prof. Leonard Bature Kawas, commended Governor Otti for his remarkable departure from the past.
Archbishop Kawas noted that the transformation in Abia since his last visit two years ago has been extraordinary, with visible progress in urban renewal, infrastructure, and economic development. “The difference is night and day,” he said. “What was once an environment overwhelmed by decay is now visibly progressing.”
The church leaders expressed their willingness to partner with the government to further deliver good governance to the people.
Deputy Governor Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, representing Governor Otti, appreciated the Church’s support and called for continued collaboration.
The visit culminated in a special intercessory prayer session, where the church leaders offered prayers for Governor Otti, Deputy Governor Emetu, and other government officials, seeking divine wisdom, strength, and protection in their duties.
